Gone ice fishing

Ice fishing is a hobby I don't quite understand. It's always freezing cold, they don't seem to catch any actual fish and they just sit alone for hours on frozen sea. I guess they are just people escaping their families for a while.

Pictures of pictures

It has taken me over a year to get four lousy pictures up on the walls of our home.

I forgot to set the appropriate lens coding, so that's why these pictures have reddish corners.

Above pictures in our hallway I took on our trip to Rome. I only had Holga with me and it turned out to be perfect camera for that trip.

Our bedroom is decorated with a picture taken near a place we used to live before. I have walked pass this spot hundreds of times.  The picture is printed on canvas by the way.

That picture is two meters wide although it looks smaller in here. It was taken with Holga on one roll of film which was then scanned and printed as a whole except couple of frames from the beginning and end. On closer look one can see frame numbers on the bottom of the picture. Frames are overlapping on purpose and it was the result of misusing Holga.

By the way, when I removed everything from the old site I didn't think anyone would miss anything. One person contacted me that he would like to have the film development timer back, so I put it up again.

This is what I photographed today

All of today's pictures ware kind of dull in color so I converted them all to b&w. I almost always do that if the colors don't add anything to the picture.

This is a stair case at a place I was working today. It's a cliche as a photographic subject but hard to resist.

There's a lot of motion blur on this one but I don't care.

I you fall asleep in public transport, there is a good chance I will take your picture.

New blog and new ideas...hopefully.

Welcome to my new blog! I apologise for the test posts that got through rss.

I'm running now on WordPress which seems to be light years ahead of Pixelpost that my last blog was running on. I'm starting fresh and saved only 20 pictures from the previous blog and made a portfolio out of them. That blog already was more like portfolio than a real blog. This time I'm going to post about 1-5 pictures per post in a mini project kind of manner. Sometimes I might only post one picture and maybe not write a single word with it. I'm also trying to stress less about posting only 'good' pictures.

Anyway, here's few snapshots from todays trip from work. I have Noctilux pictures coming up and I will also be testing out a lens that was made before World War II.
